The Christ University Trust was formed with an endeavour to promote and spread the dissemination of knowledge in higher education. The group of dedicated scholarly priests started Christ University in the year 2008. The institution of a higher rank started various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, MPhil and PhD programmes with eminent teaching fraternity within the campus as well from the industry and off shore.
Christ University Trust was started in 2007 by the priests of the congregation of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). The aim of the Trust is to promote humane social transformation through higher education, research and dissemination of knowledge in human sciences, sciences, technology, art, and emerging areas.
